Pink Flamingos

Notorious Baltimore criminal and underground figure Divine goes up against a sleazy married couple who make a passionate attempt to humiliate her and seize her tabloid-given title as "The Filthiest Person Alive".

In this comic homage to bad taste, plus-sized cross-dresser Divine stars as Babs Johnson, a felon hiding from the FBI in Baltimore with her degenerate family who commits incest and murder as she competes with a drug-running, baby-selling couple for the title of "Filthiest People Alive."

"Years after Pink Flamingos was first unleashed, the film has lost none of its danger, its wit, its psychotic exuberance." - Entertainment Weekly

"Of course, every battle in their filth war is quite obviously filtered through John Waters’s legendarily up-is-down, wrong-is-right sense of humor." - Slant Magazine

"One of the most vile, stupid and repulsive films ever made." - Variety

"I am not giving a star rating to Pink Flamingos, because stars simply seem not to apply. It should be considered not as a film but as a fact, or perhaps as an object." - Roger Ebert
