Host your own Private Bubble Rental at The Playhouse.
While the Playhouse remains closed for public screenings, Hamilton's Public Health Unit has given us approval to operate under the current Red Zone restrictions as an "event space", allowing us to rent the cinema for private bubble screenings.
Maximum of 10 people per bubble, as per Ontario bylaw.
All of our safety protocols remain firmly in place. Masks must be worn and 2 metre distancing in effect.
No outside food or beverage. Our snack bar will be open for full concession service, with beer, wine or cider, also available. Concessions snacks are not included in the overall fee; regular snackbar prices apply.
Choose from our list of Blu-rays. We have 80 titles available from Warner Brothers & Paramount Pictures. Films must be chosen from the list of titles at the cinema - no exceptions.
$300 plus HST for a 2-hour time block.

- Can I bring my own movie?
No, all screenings must be chosen from the list of titles we have available at the cinema. See attached list at the bottom of this page.
- I haven't decided what I want to watch yet. How soon do you need to know?
We will need your choice at the latest 7 days before your rental.
- How do I confirm my booking?

All bookings must be confirm with payment. E-transfer to [email protected] [3] is the quickest.
- What time should I arrive for my rental?
Doors will open 30 minutes before the start of your rental.
- Can I play video games on the big screen?
Heck yes! We just need a HDMI source for picture and sound. Depending on the system, wireless joysticks may be necessary.
- Do you offer snack bar discounts, or discounts for members?
All snack bar items are sold seperately at our regular prices. Members discounts do not apply to these special screenings.
