For the eighth year in a row we are proud to offer the chance to see some of the Oscar nominated films that many people never see.
These screenings are your chance to actually see all of the nominated animated short films. The program is rounded out with several short-listed shorts. Special note: this program is rated PG. The 6 minute Oscar-nominated short entitled 'Prologue' is a beautifully hand-drawn animation that depicts a scene from the Spartan-Athenian Wars of 2400 years ago; it contains scenes of violence and male nudity. 'Prologue' will be screened at the very end (!) of the program preceded by a warning to give families with small children the opportunity to leave if they wish.
